Insurance
The cover that keeps the loan — and you — safe
Alongside the finance we arrange the associated insurance products. The same consultant who knows your loan can talk through the covers worth having — and the ones that aren't.
Motor vehicle insurance
From third party to comprehensive
The covers arranged around car and commercial vehicle finance, explained in plain terms.
Comprehensive insurance
Covers your car for accidental damage, theft and fire, and provides liability cover for damage you may cause to someone else's car or property.
Third party property damage
Even if you don't think your car is worth insuring, it is wise to take this out: it covers the damage your car might cause to someone else's vehicle or property. Ideal for low-value vehicles.
Third party fire and theft
The same cover as third party property damage, plus cover for damage to the insured vehicle through fire and theft.
Motor equity cover
Also known as gap or shortfall insurance. If your car is written off, stolen or damaged beyond repair, the insurer pays the market or agreed value — which may not be enough to pay out your loan. Motor equity covers the difference, so you are not left paying a loan on a car you no longer have.
Loan protection insurance
Protects your loan repayments against unexpected sickness or accident, depending on the combination you choose. In the case of death or trauma the loan can be repaid in full; with other combinations the repayments are made while you are unable to work, or for a set period. It is important to consider your personal situation before choosing between the combinations available — a consultant will walk you through them.
Commercial vehicle & equipment insurance
Comprehensive cover for commercial vehicles and equipment — accidental damage, theft and fire, plus liability for damage to someone else's vehicle or property. Available for most vehicle types over 2 tonnes carrying capacity, and for earthmoving equipment and buses.
Alongside your finance
One conversation covers both
Insurance is easiest to arrange at the same time as the finance it protects. Ask your consultant when you apply.
